And we have made it through the first few weeks of 2018 into March!
It’s difficult to comprehend that the first few ‘trial’ weeks of 2018 are over and that we are now truly into 2018.
Holidays are over and we are now back into the rhythm of work, school and all the extra activities they bring. As schedules are being set and being kept too, one thing that may be slipping are the famous New Year’s Resolutions.
New Year’s Resolutions are a great thing to set and seem like a great thing to do especially when you’re at a New Year’s Eve Party, relaxed, with your mind completely off work or school. But they may not seem like that after a few weeks back into the year especially when the stresses of work and school kick in.
Nutrition is a popular theme to these resolutions and I am sure everyone has already or will try a resolution that is linked to nutrition and why not? Nutrition is something that can be easily changed and can make a positive difference in your life!
I was thinking about these nutritional resolutions and the first one that popped into my mind immediately was healthy eating. It is a great one to set but the problem I found with it is that it is so broad and can be difficult to achieve. Setting one of these resolutions in my mind feels like a Mount Everest- how can it ever be achieved 100% with work and school?
Well luckily mountains can be climbed and that is with small steps!
And that thinking got me to a solution (insert drum roll) … Monthly Resolutions!
Instead of setting up one big Mount Everest resolution I’ve decided that I am going to set smaller monthly ‘hills’ resolutions that are easier to achieve and once 2018 has passed, these little hills will add up to a Mount Everest like goal. Every Month one of my weekly blog posts will be regarding a ‘small hill’ one can try to achieve in the month. They will all be centred around nutrition and help to achieve a ‘healthier you’ in 2018.
Until next week, my fellow Monthly Resolution ‘Hill’ Climbers!
